After many long delays owing to relocating myself to a cave somewhere in the Ozarks, E-Punch is finally online in a meaningful context, to be enjoyed by whatever veterans of TheDDT.com’s forums happen to remember that I said I’d set this up months and months ago.
WHAT IS E-PUNCH YOU ASK. E-Punch is a website where funny people will post funny things. These things may be opinion pieces, travelogues, reviews, sports pieces, political screeds, pro-Zionist propaganda, or up to four forms of ninjitsu — essentially, it’s an outlet for whoever we deem funny enough to be funny in whatever way they choose, and hopefully you’ll find it funny, too.
BUT WHERE DO E-PUNCHES COME FROM. Back in… like, 2001, 2002, something like that, there was a website called Random Wrestling. In 2002 or 2003, Random Wrestling — a site devoted to humor related to pro wrestling — became TheDDT.com, which was also about pro wrestling and also about humor, albeit with more of an attempt at serious news and opinions mixed in occasionally. Somewhere in 2006 TheDDT stopped really being updated all that much and the veterans of the forums became even more of a xenophobic self-terror cell and momentum really slowed — so a secret cadre of people (’Dem N-Words’) decided to start a new site. After an inane tournament to decide the name, E-Punch was settled on, after an occasion where, during an online chat, pro wrestler Super Dragon threatened to punch TheDDT.com co-owner Doug Graham in the face (over the internet, we assume — thus, an e-punch to the e-face, and later just e-punch).
So, months later, the site was actually set up. This site does not purport to be wrestling-centric, although there will certainly be wrestling articles on some occasions — it’s more of a vehicle for the interests and passions of those involved, and whatever else they can squeeze some C-list-Something-Awful-level jokes out of.
